Maria Boyd fell in love
with the Soho Lofts in the East Village and was determined to buy
one. This August, she was the first to move in.
"I saw the plans real early, and decided,
oh, I gotta do that," she said. "She liked the character
of the East Village. She loved that the development was split between
retail and residential, with quirky little shops so close to her
front door. She liked that it was in an urban area, but was still
clean and safe."

"I love living in the SOHO Lofts!
SOHO residents have many benefits including convenient access to
transportation, cultural & sporting events, boutiques, as well
as an early morning latte' on the ground floor on the way to work!
The SOHO Lofts is definitely a place where open minded intellectuals
gather."

"Sure, anyone touring the SOHO Lofts
can see our building is one of the most beautiful structures in
the city. The building offers a calssic look with all the modern
amenities that give one comfort, quiet, and convenience. But, the
SOHO Lofts is far more than just a place to live, it represents
a refreshing way of life we like to call "Park the Car!"
We love being within walking distance to the great concerts by the
river, to every touring Broadway show, and to some of the best shopping
in the city. To be able to stroll down the street and be in the
center of every major city festival, to be mere block from the Y,
and have the Farmer's Market and night life of Court Ave just five
minutes away is incredibly liberating. I mean, I guess you can buy
elsewhere, buy why would you want to settle for second best?"

"...On behalf of the Downtown Community
Alliance I want to extend my heartiest congratulations for the progress
you have made on the SOHO Lofts. Your ability to maintain your vision
and stay focused on a great product for the East Village is remarkable;
I wish we could clone you. Best wishes for continued success on
this project; I look forward to working on the next ten deals with
you."

"It is exciting to know the Soho
Development project is underway. As a Board Member of the
Historic East Village, as well as the Immediate Past President of
the East Des Moines Chamber, I have been very impressed with Tony
DeAngelo and Bob Ligouri's presentations of their project.
It's also important to know their ties with the eastside, thereby
knowing the importance of this project to each of them. We
welcome them to the "Village" and look forward to seeing
the completed project for we know it will be a major asset to the
community."
